Who is larry?
As a long-time District 1 resident, I am concerned about our community. I went to high school here. I returned to Tuolumne County 30 years ago and had a successful practice as a tax specialist from which I am now retired. I understand business and finance.
Community involvement is an important part of my life. My leadership in several organizations has prepared me well for the position of District 1 Supervisor. From being president of Confine the Mine to being a spokesperson for Citizens Against School Bond Abuse, to doing free income tax preparation at the Senior Center, I will continue to work to make Tuolumne County a better place for people from all walks of life.

Let's Talk About The Real Issues
Fire Safety and Preparedness
My firsthand experience with the Washington Fire evacuation highlights the need for enhanced fire protection services, disaster preparedness, and recovery.
Homelessness and Housing
Addressing homelessness and advocating for affordable housing are some of my top priorities for District 1.
Financial Expertise
With my background as a tax specialist, I bring a unique perspective to fiscal responsibility and budget management.
Historic Preservation
I believe that preserving our historic buildings, like the Courthouse, is crucial for maintaining Tuolumne County’s charm and attracting tourists.
Accountability
I am committed to making the County’s budget more understandable and finding ways to cut costs without sacrificing essential services.
Local Arts
I am committed to making the County art scene more vibrant. I’m a member of the Columbia College Orchestra and was a board member on the Central Sierra Arts Council.

Being involved in the community is an important part of Larry’s life. In his work with various organizations, he has sought to make Tuolumne County a better place for people from all walks of life. His leadership in several groups has prepared him well for the job of District 1 Supervisor.
Some of the projects Larry has been involved in are:
President of Confine the Mine, a group formed to reduce the impacts of open pit mining on neighboring properties.
Spokesperson for Citizens Against School Bond Abuse which opposed plans by Sonora High School to spend nearly one-half of the $23M Measure J bond funds on a new aquatic center, rather than needed classroom improvements as indicated in the bond literature.
Member of various boards of directors including: Coalition for Better Government which hosted candidate forums; Stage 3 Theater; and the Central Sierra Arts Council.
Other volunteer activities include: free income tax preparation at the Senior Center; County Fair wine judge host & supervisor; and playing in several bands as well as the Columbia College Orchestra.
One of Larry’s goals as County Supervisor is to make the budget process more transparent and inclusive. He would like to see the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Dispatch Center receive its badly needed renovation to provide a proper working environment for our emergency personnel. Larry also feels strongly that the County Courthouse should be used in a way that maintains its historical integrity.
